Seguimientos en la ICTS

La necesidad de comprender la variabilidad inherente a los sistemas naturales, determinó la creación de un Programa de Seguimiento a largo plazo en Doñana, cuyo objetivo es la generación de series largas de datos sobre parámetros básicos, tanto físicos como biológicos.

Biodiversity monitoring in the “LifePlan” Doñana plot
The ICTS-RBD collaborates with the University of Helsinki since April 2021 with the European Project LIFEPLAN – A Planetary Inventory of Life funded by the European Commission through the ERC Synergy Grant. The project's main objective is to improve the existing knowledge about the species richness on a global scale and determine trends facing global change and how they are structured in communities.

Members of the ICTS-RBD participate in an off-road vehicle driving course conducted by the Civil Guard
On the 31th of January and 1st and 2nd of February, 2022, part of the CSIC staff from the ICTS-RBD, has attended the out-road driving sessions carried out by the the Traffic School of Civil Guard in Mérida (Badajoz). The activity has had the participation of different instructors from the Traffic School, who have explained to the CSIC staff several aspects about the ergonomics of the vehicle, the necessary equipment and its use in field-work.

Amphibians, one of the taxa most severely impacted by low winter precipitations
Amphibians winter sampling which is annually performed by the ICTS-RBD Natural Processes Monitoring Team in 24 locations in the Doñana Natural Area, has been carried out during the last two weeks of January. The severe drought (109 l/m2 until December 2021) has affected this taxa considerably and does not show positive numbers this year, since only 13 out 24 points had water at the time of sampling.

Results of the post-breeding passerine migration campaign at the Manecorro ringing station in the Doñana Natural Area
From September 1st to November 15th 2021, members of the ICTS-RBD Natural Processes Monitoring team carried out the ringing of passerine birds during the post-breeding migration at the Manecorro Ringing Station (Doñana National Park). This campaign has been the number 28, although with a reduced sampling effort of 5 days a week and only in the mornings, due to the special conditions generated by COVID-19.

Las solicitudes de datos brutos se realizan a través de la siguiente aplicación . Además, es posible visualizar datos de seguimiento de la ICTS-RBD a través de nuestra Infraestructura de datos y consultar indicadores ecosistémicos esenciales derivados de dichos datos en nuestro Observatorio para el Cambio Global.
